The New Edwards Ham Shop is Now Open!
With over a year’s worth of blueprints, planning and finger-crossing, the new location of the Edwards Ham Shop of Williamsburg is now open! Located near the Premium outlets on the corner of Richmond Road and Olde Town Road, the new store has a brand new look but honors the traditional history of the Edwards Story. “We always wanted a store that showed not only what we do but where we came from,” says third generation curemaster
Sam Edward III. “All around the store are pieces of our history; doors of our original smokehouse, signs of the Jamestown Ferry where my grandfather started selling ham sandwiches…,it all comes together in a
way we’re really proud of.”
The new shop will feature Edwards products such as Virginia hams, bacon and sausage, but also include amazing specialty foods from across Virginia. Deli Sandwiches will also be available (we’re right next to Starbucks so coffee and a sandwich is a perfect way to reboot your afternoon!).
The old store, located at 1814 Richmond Road, will be open until January 2014. For now, we will have both stores available for the holiday season. Be sure to stop by the new ham shop and check it out for yourself!
